Un enorme piccione blu a Foligno. È dal mese di luglio 2010 su un tetto “nascosto” di Via Francesco Benaducci. L'opera è dei Kindergarten’ ("asilo" in tedesco ndr) è una parola molto bella, musicale, severa nella pronuncia ma delicata nel significato. Inoltre è un termine composto da due parole, come i loro lavori che sono il risultato di due sensibilità diverse ma allo stesso tempo simili.

BLU: “Siamo enormemente affascinati da questo colore perché è ricco di contraddizioni. Anticamente era un colore tetro ed era spesso accostato alla malasorte o alle disgrazie (per i romani era il colore dei barbari), oggi invece è uno dei colori preferiti dalla maggior parte delle persone (basta guardare la moda). Per molto tempo è stato completamente ignorato sia dagli artisti sia dagli artigiani. La parola ‘blu’ non compare mai negli scritti di lingua greca e latina ed è completamente assente anche nella Bibbia. Nel Medioevo era un colore caldo mentre oggi è considerato freddo e l’opposto del rosso. Si avvicina molto al nero ma allo stesso tempo ha una sua personalità.

Il BLU COBALTO è perfetto per far risaltare le sfumature e gli effetti della luce... per questo motivo lo adoro quando viene utilizzato per tessuti lucidi.. quali la seta, il velluto.... gli effetti sono meravigliosi in estate come in inverno e a qualsiasi ora del giorno.. e della notte!

Sull’opera di Jacques Toussaint, artista di origini francesi ma attivo in Italia dal 1971, c’è da alcuni anni una particolare attenzione da parte di un pubblico e di una critica che situano i loro interessi tra arte e design. L’artista infatti opera una ricerca che intreccia i suoi interessi per questi due ambiti e che si sviluppa con grande rigore a partire dall’acquisizione di un elemento semplicissimo della geometria, il segmento, che diventa il fondamento di un alfabeto compositivo che si articola ora sulla tela, ora nello spazio, ora, infine, nel prodotto di design. Il segmento diventa strumento di costruzione di un mondo estremamente regolare che vive tra quadrati e cubi, trova poi nel mondo della produzione d’arredo la possibilità di gestire il valore estetico (ma anche poetico) dell’arte dentro un oggetto-prodotto dalle caratteristiche funzionali estremamente qualificate e apprezzate.
